Vocal Tips

There are thousands of voice teachers, singers and songwriters touting their methodology online. I’m a big fan of reading books based on scientific fact and using established terminology. I also have my own way of explaining things to students that comes from my teaching experience – sometimes silly tricks and funny analogies resonate with people and I think it’s just fine to use those tools as long as they link to established core principles of vocal development.

On this page you’ll find links to articles that have helped me break down elements of singing and vocal health as well as silly tidbits that I find helpful and inspiring.
