Students & Alumni

Amanda Kind’s students and alumni are involved in the professional music, theatre and entertainment scene in a variety of capacities. Her students have appeared on stage at Drayton Entertainment theatres, Stratford Festival, Theatre Aquarius, Centre in the Square and other venues in Canada and beyond. They have played shows across Canada, the US and overseas and worked in other aspects of the entertainment industry including broadcast journalism, event planning and more.

Elliot Anton

ElliotAntonElliot Anton is the lead singer of Safe As Houses, an alternative folk band based in Ontario. Their debut album “Sink My Boat” includes the popular title single.  Safe As Houses were recently regional finalists in the CBC Searchlight competition. Safe As Houses released a sophomore album “The Fall Of The Sparrow” in December 2014.

AJ Bridel

AJBridelAJ Bridel is a stage performer, pop singer and actress. She was a runner up on the popular CBC reality competition Over The Rainbow and appeared as Peter Pan in Peter Pan for the Dunfield Theatre Cambridge in 2013. She previously appeared in 80s Solid Gold (Stage West Calgary), as Ariel in The Little Mermaid (BroadwayLiveBroadway), Mary in The Little Years (Stratford Festival), Lucy in 13: The Musical (KWMP). In the summer of 2014, AJ reprised her role in Peter Pan at the Huron Country Playhouse and King’s Wharf Theatre. This Christmas, she appeared in the Hallmark television movie Shelby The Dog Who Saved Christmas. AJ recently appeared as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz in March at the Dunfield Theatre Cambridge.

Colin Briscoe

ColinBriscoeColin Briscoe is the bass player and back up singer for the band Amberwood based in Ontario. Their EP Event Horizon is available on iTunes. Their new single “Out Of This Place” is available on their website. Amberwood recently played Big Music Fest in Kitchener Waterloo.

Joel Cox

Joel Cox is an actor, performer and singer-songwriter. Since 2009, he has appeared as Oliver in Drayton Entertainment’s production of Oliver! and Tiny Tim in Theatre Aquarius’ production of A Christmas Carol, as well as several commercials for Toyota, Honeycomb Cereal and IKEA. Joel recently appeared on the CW series Reign.

Jessi Elgood

JessiElgoodJessi Elgood is a stage performer and activist based on Ontario. Select stage credits include Little Match Girl in Striking 12 (KWLT), Pepper in Annie (Drayton Entertainment), The Grapes of Wrath (Stratford Festival), Louisa in The Sound of Music (KWMP) among others. Jessi is also a singer-songwriter and is actively involved with the peace education charity CSIV. Jessi recently released an original song called “Rekha” – partial proceeds support Plan’s “Because I am a Girl” project. Buy the track on iTunes. Erik Larson

(Stratford Festival), several productions with The Singer’s Theatre and Moody in Anne of Green Gables (KWMP), among others. Erik recently appeared as Robert in The Drowsy Chaperone (ECI). Erik currently attends Humber College for music.
